top 5 favorites [at this very second]:
1.)
OKAY - I'm not one for cuts, burns, or bruises - however, that sequin band-aid is to die for!
2.)
Not like I need any more handbags, but these are just TOO versatile - I think I'll go with Tory's in the upper-right...it'll do :)
3.)
Obviously, I'm a fan of the over-the-knee boot - I melt when I see a pair that is not on the 'wedding budget'...however, wear one of these precious pairs with a thigh-high sock or colorful tight, and you're immediately adorable.
4.)
I love love love all of the braids shown for Fall...now, if I could get a personal hair stylist I'd be set! I'm definitely going to incorporate a braid into my wedding-do, I LOVE this one:
5.)
Yes, it's a Goldendoodle. Let's set fashion & interior decorating aside for a second. My heart belongs to A.) my future husband, and B.) to animals. Can you tell my fiancé to please get me this sweet baby NOW?!
lots of x's and o's,

That's OUR day, our day! yep - you guessed it...our wedding day. I could not be more excited, and not to wish time away, but I wish it were tomorrow! I absolutely cannot wait!! Since my last post I have: booked our reception venue, booked the church where the ceremony will be held, chosen my bridesmaids, house party, and my junior bridesmaids (they're all fabulous and amazing, AND they all said "I do!")..taken engagement pictures with Meegan @ Meeganweaver.com, chose a florist, and set up appointments with our cake guy and caterers! I also have looked into invitations, decorations, and bridesmaids dresses. I'm pretty much on wedding blogs 24/7, I think my fiance wants his fiance back. haha, I think this is pretty common...I'm totally consumed by this wedding stuff! We've been very busy, and we're trying to get everything done early so we're not stressing at the last minute. I designed our Save-the-Dates and placed the order for them, so those will be going out soon (get excited -- and mark your calendars)! Oh! we've also been talking to the band who will perform at the reception, I'll book them soon and couldn't be happier! they're awesome...let's see...what else...OH! here are some of my FAV engagement pictures:
...I just love them! and I can't waiiit to do bridals! ahhh all of this is so exciting. Happy weekend :)
XO!

oh my goodness!
I AM SO BAD! I know. You really don't have to tell me...I've been told enough. I promised - I mean lets face it, the last title was "promises, promises."...!! Not to mention that was in JULY. It's now September? How is that even possible. Anyhow - what's happened since July:
1.) Found my dress!!!! Let me tell you, it's absolutely me. I lovvvve it. Only a select group of friends have seen it, and I want to keep it that way...I can't wait for everyone else to see it though! Ah - only, 10 months. I will tell you the designer:
2.) Asked my sweet friend, Cooper, to be my Matron of Honor:
This necklace reminded me of her, right when I saw it! - just a delicate bow necklace from Tiffany's. Of course, it won't be what she wears on our big day (the accents will be gold) - but, it will be something that reminds her of how special she is to me! Thanks for saying "yes" and being there when we "tie the bow" (bow instead of knot, get it?) - Coop!
3.) SEARCHING for ceremony/reception venues. This is NOT easy - in fact, it is most definitely the HARDEST part when you are on a budget. We've fallen in love with places, and soon after, gotten our hearts broken. I'm sorry but a $20,000 food and beverage MINIMUM is borderline insane. So, we're still on the prowl. We will find one soon, and I'll let you know just as SOON as we do!
4.) Stressing. People say not to...
5.) Celebrated my Grandparent's 50th Anniversary! Not only are they adorable, they are the reason I am who/where/what I am today. I love them with all of my heart - there are not words to express how much they mean to me. We took a vacation to Florida in June to celebrate their Anniversary early...here they are, such cuties:
6.) Picked a photographer!! Seeing as how my job involves having an artisitc eye, I searched and searched until I found a photographer that pleased both mine, and Grant's artistic inclinations. Photography was one of our "concentration areas" for our wedding. Check out Meegan's work @ meeganweaver.com ...I know you'll agree. :)
7.) Living, being ridiculous, loving, laughing, crying, working, exercising, eating, etc etc etc...
I am not making any promises this time, but I will say that I want to keep up with this little darlin' better. It's MUCH harder updating for months missed; I might as well do it routinely. :)
lovelovelove & enjoy life,

promises, promises
I promised - sooo, here it is! My first ever, B-L-O-G! Am I excited? oh yes! Do I know what I'm doing? Absolutely not. but, I'm a quick learner...please bear with me. Let me begin with a bit of history (I know. I hated history too - I'll keep it short and sweet.) I was born to two amazing people, soon after was given two brothers (Torin and Tyler), went to a private Catholic school until 8th grade then transferred to a public highschool starting my Freshman year, parents had a nasty divorce, moved out on my own at the age of 16, met a boy, went to college, met a man, graduated from college.....ok, back to the man. His name is Grant - let me tell you about him! We met at a grocery store. Yes I know, romantic right? However, the story makes us laugh and that's all that matters. We both like food - and at THAT time, the alcohol section of Albertson's. Now, that's even more romantic! I was with my good friend Haylee getting some Franzia, and he was with a couple of his friends. His friend flirted with me..Haylee and I agreed to go to their party...and, we have been together ever since. In fact, we haven't spent more than 3 days apart. But if you know him, how could you? He is absolutely the most down-to-earth, honest person...the most adorable, loving, hilarious, modest, kind-hearted (I could go on and on) man that I have ever known. From the moment we met, I knew there was something different about him...something...different. He kept me guessing - he was spontaneous and wild, yet intelligent and driven. When I was around him I felt secure, loved, honored and admired. What made Haylee and I go into Albertson's that April night (because, I have always ONLY shopped at Market Street) is beyond me.
However, the creation of this blog stemmed not from my past, but from the fact that ....
WE ARE ENGAGED!!!!!
After 2 years and 4 months of 'dating' he popped THE question! Let me tell you - he got me good. REAL good. I didn't see it coming - didn't expect it at all...and, it was absolutely perfect.
So, we were on the couch in our new, barely unpacked apartment listening to the torrential downpour of July 4th, 2010. We were watching Confessions of a Shopaholic (my favvvvorite movie) and Grant disappears for a second. I didn't think anything of it...he comes back in the room and continues to watch the movie. Then, pauses it. He then proceeds by telling me how beautiful and perfect I am in my pjs and without makeup, and how much he loves me and how he wants to spend the rest of his life with me...Of course, I thought we were just chatting - so, I respond with "I know babe! me too! and I love you too!"...Welllll, this is where it takes a turn. He then stands up, reaches into his pocket, gets down on one knee and says, "Taryn Marie, will you marry me?" ....I was in utter shock!!! I responded with "ARE YOU SERIOUS!!??" "OH my gosh, OF COURSE!!"...then I cried, like balled. He told me, and I couldn't agree more, that there is no perfect place in the world for him to have proposed. It doesn't matter the backdrop, the place, nor the time...the only thing that matters is that it's meaningful, heartfelt, and real. Let me end this ridiculously long post with this (I hope you're still with me!)... I am the happiest girl in the entire world, and I cannot waiiiit to start our new life together...
peace, love, and I promise I will keep you posted,
taryn
